Auckland experimental singer songwriter Mali Mali, aka Ben Tolich, has surprised fans with a striking new song from as yet unnamed new album recorded and mixed himself at his home on the North Shore.
Lyrically “Remembrances” sees Tolich rediscovering hidden truths by searching back through the rubble of his dismantled religious beliefs. The song is full of shimmering texture and gorgeous flowing piano melodies that echo Elliot Smith.
