What a line up! If you were at the Auckland Folk Festival in January this year then you would have been lucky enough to see both The Nukes and Into the East as they wowed the audience. They are joined by Aaron Carpenter and his band, fresh off a slot at the Tuning Fork as part of the Americana Fest, at Q Theatre this Thursday 10th December

Three of New Zealand’s best Americana inspired acts will get you revved up for the party season. Trust us.

Into The East are a duo that will leave the sole of your left shoe needing retreading and your heart loving at full potential. Their folk aesthetic has been described as reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac with the poetic and harmonic charm of Simon and Garfunkel. They haven’t been up to Auckland since the Festival in January and so this is a rare opportunity to catch them and their ridiculous humour in person.

Aaron Carpenter &The Revelators are a veteran gaggle of hot shot musicians whose insights keep listeners riveted throughout as they report back on the life at the coalface of gritty reality. Their blues/country vibe infuses their music and the stories they tell with a core of authenticity and genuine human experience.

The Nukes are far more than a ukulele band. They are high entertainment. Part vaudeville, part rat-pack, part musical car-crash, this talented trio deliver an engaging mix of humour and originality that audiences love. They were my personal highlight in January, and again later in the year when I saw them. Humour, class and incredibly high musical ability makes this a band that you must see.

You can grab tickets here and catch a little video of each of the bands. This is a guaranteed good time, you’ll regret missing it!
