Wellington-based alt-folk songwriter Fraser Ross and his group 04s are embarking on an extensive nationwide tour in August and September, in celebration of their spellbinding new album Life is Magic, Where is my Rabbit?, set for release via local label Home Alone Music in early August. The four-piece troupe is comprised of the aforementioned artist, Olivia Campion, Jacqui Nyman and Jeremy Desmond – the ten-song collection is their first release together as a band, following two EPs and an album of solo material by Ross, and was recorded in collaboration with omnipresent studio wizard Lee Prebble at his Surgery Studios headquarters. Ross is an Edinburgh Fringe Festival veteran whose multi-talented toolset encompasses music, poetry, comedy, and reportedly once “had Bill Murray join him on stage for a two-hour sing-a-long,” his group’s upcoming shows are sure to be a treat for the senses.
